Building safety tips

【Unauthorised buildings works is a no-no anywhere ❌】

Build and Ding notice that an owner was convicted and fined for multiple times for persistently failing to comply with removal orders.  A recent case involved several unauthorised building works in a house at Discovery Bay, Lantau Island.  The owner was fined over $160,000!  Another case involved a flat roof structure in a composite building in Yuen Long, in which the owner was fined over $90,000.  Hey hey hey!  Build and Ding would like to reiterate that irrespective of the types of buildings, owners have the responsibility to ensure that their premises are free from any types of UBWs.  UBWs may adversely affect the structural and fire safety of a building, leading to serious consequences.  Owners must comply with removal orders without delay.
