【Unauthorised building works: time bombs for fire safety 】

Build and Ding are on an urgent mission.  Their bomb squad has been deployed to remove unauthorised building works (UBWs) in a building, the ticking time bomb that endangers fire safety.  The two most common types of UBWs are:

  • Addition of UBWs on rooftops, which occupy the refuge space in case of fire
  • Alteration to fire resisting elements of construction or other components in the building, such as fire rated doors, partition walls, fire barriers, etc.
