Organised by the Buildings Department and co-organised by the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Education City, the Buildings Safety Pioneer Programme (BSPP) promotes building safety among young people and to develop their concerns and sense of responsibility for the living environment. This year, the BSPP will kick-off in mid-July 2018.

Each secondary school may nominate 5 students between F.2-F.4 in the 2018/19 school year for the one-year BSPP. 12 secondary schools with a total of about 60 students will be selected.

The BSPP aims to facilitate students’ understanding of the importance of building safety and the responsibility of the owners, as well as the roles of the Buildings Department, building professionals and property management companies. Through various workshops and visits, participating students will learn to recompose song lyrics and produce a music video to promote building safety.
