“Building Safety Depends on All of Us” Comic Drawing Competition 2016

“Building Safety Depends on All of Us” Comic Drawing Competition will be held by the Buildings Department for 4 consecutive years and is now open for application. The competition is divided into three sections, including Upper Primary School (P.4 to P.6), Junior Secondary School (F.1 to F.3) and Senior Secondary School (F.4 to F.6). All entries will focus on the four main 'Building Safety' concepts (Structural Safety, Fire Safety, Environmental Hygiene and Public Safety). Awards for each section include Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, Most Popular Award (Online voting), 10 Merit Awards, Most Supportive School Award and Outstanding participating Award. The artworks of champions of each section may be transformed to exciting animations. All primary and secondary students in Hong Kong are welcome to join.
Furthermore, in order to let students have a better understanding on the objective of the competition and inspire students to create their own comic drawings, a "Building Safety Concepts and Comic Skills" Workshop will be held on 30 April 2016. During the workshop, participants will learn more about ‘Building Safety’ concepts ,and comic skills from the famous comic illustrator, Mr. Peter Ng.
