Roadmap on Adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for Building Plan Preparation and Submission - 2nd Round Stakeholder Engagement

Thanks for your valuable input regarding the "Consultancy Study on Adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for Statutory Submissions under Buildings Ordinance" in the 1st stakeholder engagement in the end of 2024.  Buildings Department would like to invite you to share your views on the proposed framework for supporting the full adoption of BIM.

Agenda:

  1. Opening by Buildings Department

  2. Background and refined proposed roadmap by the consultant bimSCORE Limited - SBI

  3. Demonstration of proof-of-concept by the consultant bimSCORE Limited - SBI

  4. Demonstration by other local/international products that facilitate BIM for statutory submission

  5. Conclusion

Session 2:        In-person ONLY during 16:45 – 18:00 at same venue (Lecture Theatre at Hong Kong Central Library), assuming the audience have already attended the briefing during 14:00 – 16:30.

Registration Deadline:    2 September 2025 (Tuesday) - 5:00 P.M.

Walk-in application would not be accepted.

Successful applicants will be notified by email on or before 2 September 2025 (Tuesday).

  • Registration need to be completed online before the deadline.
  • Each person is only allowed to register once.
  • Repeated registration will be cancelled.
  • Buildings Department ("BD") is not responsible for any delays in emails or other unsuccessful transmissions due to incorrect contact information provided or due to factors beyond the control of the BD, such as the communication network and email service providers.
  • As seats are limited, BD reserves the right to determine the acceptance of the registration.
  • Buildings Department reserves the right of final decision of the event. Any changes or contingency measures for the event announced by the Buildings Department and/or posted on the official Facebook page shall prevail.

  • The workshop will be cancelled when Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning signal is issued 3 hours before its commencement.
