Building safety tips

【Owners fined about $210,000 in total for failing to comply with removal orders】

On a serious note, Ah Build is here today to remind you to comply with the removal orders as soon as possible; otherwise you’ll end up like these two owners, who were recently convicted and fined $114,000 and $94,800 respectively.  I hope this will serve as a reminder that you should take action immediately and follow the law.

Build & Ding Reminders:
Failure to comply with a removal order without reasonable excuse is a serious offence under the Buildings Ordinance.  The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $200,000 and 1 year’s imprisonment, and a further fine of $20,000 for each day that the offence has continued.
